The Oasis - " This tropical
garden filled with exotic plants and wildlife is your pathway into adventure.
Be sure to come back during the day to explore its wonders" . Not really an
attraction, but a well groomed area that all guests have to pass through to get
to any of the attractions or areas. I have to mention that some of the most
stunning Hyacinth Macaws I've ever seen can be spotted in the trees. They're
beautiful. It's just beyond the main entrance and is a good introduction to the
rest of the park, providing an environmental taste of what's to come. Here's
what Disney say about it in their publicity material " Leave the urban world
behind and enter a lush tropical forest brimming with exotic birds and animals
that greet you the moment you enter the Park. The Oasis is ringed by
vine-covered crags that surround an enchanted world filled with streams,
grottoes, flowering glades, and tumbling waterfalls that fill the air with
cooling spray. Inhabitants of The Oasis include miniature deer, brilliant
macaws, shaggy anteaters, iguanas, sloths, and tree kangaroos. These exotic
creatures were all chosen for their brilliant color and beautiful
shapes." So there you have it. I don't have to recommend it, because you
have no choice but to walk right through to get anywhere in the park. A
'compulsory' attraction I suppose. Well done Disney!
