While much of FANTASMIC!
takes place on the water, the main stage area is the large new rest area in
front of the Cider Mill on Tom Sawyer Island. By day, this area is open to
guests. After dark, it becomes a performance space including a 20-foot by
20-foot trap door which is part of the Maleficent/dragon effect.

A full orchestral score and
a variety of sound effects are presented in full surround sound on an all-new,
computer- controlled, state-of-the-art sound system. |

In addition to the Mark
Twain steamboat and the Columbia WATERCRAFT sailing ship, both of which have
roles in FANTASMIC!, the show features three new show barges, 12 feet wide by
20 feet long by 4 feet tall, plus six additional barges which are used in the
pyrotechnic effects. All these new watercraft are docked in a newly constructed
backstage marina.
- KAA THE SNAKE: 100 feet long
- PETER PAN CROCODILE: 25 feet long, 12 feet wide, 17
feet tall
- URSULA THE SEA WITCH: 20 feet tall, 32 feet wide
- SLEEPING BEAUTY DRAGON: 45 feet tall, breathes fire,
setting the river aflame

each is 30 feet tall by 50 feet wide 70mm film images are projected
on the screens by projectors located on Tom Sawyer Island. |
