| Disneyland is
located in sunny southern California, in the city of Anaheim. Anaheim is
approximately 27 miles from Downtown Los Angeles. It can be accessed
from many local freeways. The only practical way to get to Disneyland is
by road (Anaheim is not serviced by trains, and most buses just run on
local routes (although you can take a Greyhound right to Disneyland
Park). |

If you are
planning to travel to the park on non-holiday weekday morning between
about 7:00am - 9:00am expect very heavy traffic. From about 4:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m. on non-holiday afternoons also expect heavy traffic. On lower
traffic weekends, usually Sunday mornings, Cal-Trans likes to work on
the freeways, so be ready for some slowing in these areas also. If you
are in the area and want to find out the local traffic information and
road closures, as your driving tune into KNX 1070 (AM Radio) or KFWB 980
(AM Radio), both of these have traffic updates very often along with the
news. Once in the Anaheim Resort area you may want to tune to 1500 AM
for Anaheim specific road closures and construction.

to the Park - Note about the Current Development of The California
Adventure:
Please note that due to major construction in the Disneyland area you
may find off ramps and portions of freeways closed. This dispruption is
expected to last until at least June 2000.

From LAX Airport
Take the Century 105 freeway east, to the 605 south, to the Riverside
91 east, to Golden State Freeway 5 south and exit at Harbor Blvd going
south, the park will be right there.

From John Wayne
Orange County Airport
Take the 55 north/east, to the 5 freeway north, and exit at Harbor Blvd
south, and the park is right there.

From Ontario Airport
Take the 10 or the 60, to the 57 south, to Ball Road west (turn right),
and travel about 3 miles until Harbor Blvd and turn left and you should
see the Disneyland sign, within a half-mile. |
