Fantasyland Attractions

..
Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty's Castle) - As with the other parks, this is the centrepiece of Disneyland, but rather than just being a 'walkthrough' building, this one features La Tanière du Dragon (The Dragon's Lair) way down in the dungeon (a huge animatronic Dragon), and up in the turrets is La Galerie de Belle au Bois Dormant (The Sleeping Beauty Gallery) where the story of sleeping beauty is told in stained-glass windows.

Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) - The classic Disney dark ride, similar to the other parks' equivalents, but it seems brighter and shinier (probably because it's the newest). Great for young kids.

Les Voyages de Pinocchio (Pinocchio's Journey) - Another fab Disney dark ride, remember to use the dandruff shampoo, there's lot's of ultra-violet lighting.....!

Le Carrousel de Lancelot (Lancelot's Carousel) - A huge merry-go-round bursting with hand-painted horses.

Peter Pan's Flight - Ever popular and always fun. Probably the campest attraction in Paris! Ooohs and Aaahs abound.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant - Fairground roundy-roundy uppy-downy ride where you can sit in Dumbo and get a great view of the park.

The Mad Hatters' Tea Cups - Those of you who know me well know exactly what I think of this attraction. If you enjoy a full cycle in the spin-drier, then you'll love this one. For me though, it's too fast. If you fly into Paris, steal the motion discomfort bag from the plane. You may need it.

Alice's Curious Labyrinth - This is a great and complicated maze full of little distractions along the way. At the end of the maze is the Queen of Hearts' Castle where you'll be rewarded with one of the finest views of Disneyland Paris. Don't forget the camera. This attraction is usually closed during the winter months.

It's A Small World - It's that tune again! The attraction is almost the same as the other parks' versions (a boat ride through the 'countries' of the world where animatronic children sing to you.....), but with a great post-ride exhibition. The exhibition (and the attraction) is sponsored by France Telecom who show that you can do amazing things with mirrors and video.....I won't spoil it, see for yourself!

Le Pays des Contes de Fées - The Storybook Land canal boat cruise, packed with miniature scenes from all the classic fables. (No narration).

Les Pirouettes du Vieux Moulin - This is a kind of ferris wheel for small children. You sit in a bucket which is attached to the sails of a windmill. It's more fun than it sounds!

Casey Junior, Le Petit Train du Cirque (Casey Jr., The Little Circus Train) - A Big Thunder Mountain for the youngsters. A nice tame roller coaster ride around Storybook Land for those not tall enough for the big attractions!
