The Disneyland® Hotel |
|||||
| The
Disneyland Hotel is the flagship hotel of Disneyland Paris. It is the
highest priced, most luxurious place to stay for miles around, and I can
very highly recommend it! The top floors of the Hotel are known as The
Castle Club a kind of luxury concierge service. This is where the likes
of Michael Jackson stay (up in the Sleeping Beauty Suite on the top
floor - complete with Grand Piano, kitchen, an integrated room for your
" security staff" , a fabulous view over Main Street and of the
Castle and you should see the underlit ceiling......! By the way, a
night in this Suite will cost you around FF180,000/GB£1,900/US$3,100).
Access to the Castle Club is restricted to guests only. The only way up
is by private elevator which you can call only by swiping your room key
in a cleverly hidden slot. This same elevator takes you right down to
within 50 feet of the park entrance. Of course, the non-suite castle
Club prices aren't as crazy as the one I've given above (they're about
30-40% more than a standard room in the main hotel). If you can't afford the luxury of the Castle Club, the main Hotel is very well serviced and deserves its' Official 4-Star Rating. It's the most " Disney" of all the hotels with sweeping staircases and Victorian " Disney-esque" murals. Quite simply, the best almost up to the standards of Disneyworld's Grand Floridian. Here's a list of the Hotel's facilities:

It is not always wise to call the dedicated booking service " Disneyland Direct" in the UK, as oftentimes rather than buying a package, you should book your hotel accommodation and buy your passes separately as it usually works out much cheaper. If you do want to call them to compare prices, their number is +44 0990 03 03 03 (or 0990 03 03 03 from within the UK). They are very reluctant to give out 'accommodation only' prices, so tell them that you have a " Fantasia" Annual Pass and won't need to pay for passes. That should do the trick. If you do have problems (I almost always have!) simply call the Hotel Directly on the number given above. Most telephone and reception staff speak English fluently. | ||||
