SHOPS
- The Crown and Crest - - There's a mediaeval
feel to this shop which sells pottery and pub glasses and dart boards and
genealogical goodies.
- Pringle of Scotland - Fabulous (but expensive) pure
wool and cashmere scarves, gloves and sweaters.
- The Magic of Wales - All kinds of gifts and ornaments
with a Welsh theme.
- The Queen's Table - Very English, very elegant, very
expensive. Figurines and toby jugs. The shop is sponsored by Royal Doulton, so
that should tell you about the stock.
- The Tea Caddy - This shop is inside Anne Hathaway's
Cottage and sells just about everything tea-related you could think of (except
water).
- The Toy Soldier - Great classic English toys from
Paddington Bear to Corgi Toys.

RESTAURANTS AND REFRESHMENTS
- Rose & Crown Pub - Well, I guess they had to do
it. Actually it's kind of OK, a bit smelly (beer and cigarettes), but fun and
friendly all the same.
- Rose & Crown Dining Room - 'Pub Grub' as it's
known. Roast Beef, Shepherd's Pie, Fish & Chips, Steak & Kidney Pie,
etc. (It's not very authentic, but if you're British and you're overseas for a
long time, it'll make a nice change).
