River Country Attractions

The park last operated in November 2001.  On January 20th 2005, The walt Disney Company that River Country would be closed permanently.  We've left it here on the site as a nostalgic reminder of what was, after all, the world's first ever fully themed water park.

Whoop 'n' Holler Hollow - A double water slide that plops you right into the main lagoon.

Bay Cove - This is the main lagoon and beach area - a half acre in size. Guests can look across the lake and see Cinderella's Castle and Space Mountain. Bay Cove is the centerpiece of River Country.

Slippery Slide Falls - Two slippery 16 foot slides that run almost straight down!

White Water Rapids - A tubular ride through some very swirly water. Hold on to your tube!

Tire Swing, Rope Climb, T-Bar Drop, and Boom Swing - Everything your kids could wish for - and water too!

Kiddie Cove - Slides and other stuff for younger kids.

Indian Springs - A spray pond with those classic Disney pop jets (like at the Downtown Disney entrance).

Cypress Point Nature Trail - A new addition to the park, this is a relaxing stroll through the beautiful cypress trees around Bay Lake.

Pop's Willows - A great shady picnic spot.

  • Drink Stands - These are scattered around River Country and are the closest thing you get to a shop here. All the more reason to spend the whole day!
