The Story

Act 1: Mickey's Magical Garden

Mickey Mouse manipulates the " Disney Light" to reveal an enchanted garden of fairy sprites, flowers, and butterflies. With the help of Tinker Bell and the three good fairies from Sleeping Beauty, a magical transformation takes place.

Act 2: The Disney Villains

The happiness and light are snatched away by the infamous villains of Disney's classic animated features. Jafar, Ursula, Maleficent join the other villains in a macabre celebration of the dark and reveal their true natures.

Act 3: The Happy Ending

The Disney princes and princesses sweep into view and dispel the darkness through the power of their true love. Once again a magical transformation takes place to create a golden ballroom. Everyone is touched by a shower of Disney Light as Minnie Mouse gives each guest a kiss good night.

Route

The pageant stops three times along the parade route for a performance involving spectacular transformations. Each point along the route offers a slightly different performance. For this reason, you can enjoy " Disney's FANTILLUSION!" over and over, discovering something new each time. The pageant takes about 25 minutes to pass, with each stop for the performance lasting about 5 minutes.


Theme

Running through the entire show is the theme of transformation and change. In a sense, this is two shows in one: the running version and the transformed version when the procession stops. This original nighttime entertainment is the culmination of the first collaboration of creative talents from all four Disney theme parks around the world.


Music

Music plays a major role in " Disney's FANTILLUSION!" Each unit has its own piece of familiar Disney music which corresponds to the visual theme. The " FANTILLUSION Theme," an original composition, creates a seamless flow of music under the individual unit themes as the units move down the route. The music is largely orchestral in nature and enhances the entire parade.


Costumes

Like the floats, the costumes for the 160 performers sparkle and glow in ways never seen before. Truly unique costumes were created using 88 individual designs, 290 different fabrics, and 10 different light mediums including mini-lights and fiber optics. The costumes work together with the music, choreography, and lights to produce a fantastical, magical dream.
