Cinderella's Golden
Carrousel - Take your seat on a hand-painted horse and ride to some classic
Disney music. It's even better than the carrousel that Mary Poppins rode, (but
the horses are not likely to become detached from the attraction and gallop
around Fantasyland with you.......although this suggestion will no doubt be
taken seriously by the Disney Imagineers. Watch this space!). Moms and Dads: be
sure to have that camera ready.

|
Dumbo The Flying Elephant
- You can sit right on Dumbo's back on this uppy-downy roundy-roundy
fairground-type ride for some great views of the park. |
 |
 |
|
|
" it's a small world" - get
ready for a gentle boat ride through the countries of the world and hear that
tune (yes THAT tune) in more languages than you can count. Nor will you be able
to count the amount of times THAT tune pops into your head during the following
week! The perfect attraction for younger kids (but I love it
too!). |

|
|
Mad Tea Party - It's a
great attraction, but my least favourite. Sit in one of the mad hatter's tea
cups, and spin around until you're nearly unconscious. NEVER
AGAIN! Of course, if unconscious isn't far enough for you, spin that
wheel in the middle of the cup and head towards comatose. (I'm a wimp, but you
might love it). |

|
Peter Pan's Flight - The
ever-popular (and camp) classic Disney dark-ride. The lines don't get any
shorter (real early or real late in the day are the best times for this one)
but how can you not be enthralled by flying through the air with Peter to
Never-land. You'll be positively dripping in pixie-dust!

|
Snow White's Scary
Adventures - Watch out for the Evil Queen on this dark ride. It's great, full
of fluorescent colour and ultra-violet lighting. Wear white if you have
dandruff! |

A fairly recent addition
to Fantasyland - replaced Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. A similar kind of attraction,
using the old Toad track, but completely re-imagineered inside for a fabulous
Pooh Adventure.

|
Ariel's Grotto - She's
lovely, and she'll meet with you and pose for a photograph. (I must remember to
ask her exactly which Clairol Colour she has on her hair......) The Grotto is
just a short distance from " The Fantasyland Character Festival" - where you
can meet other characters each day. Very helpful for Ariel's days off (the poor
girl needs the occasional rest, all that swimming must be very
tiring).

 |
|
|   |
Fairytale Garden - A nice
little quiet spot, where you may be lucky enough to stumble across A Fairy
Godmother or Snow White.
|
  |
|
|
|
The Legend of The Lion
King - See your favourites from the movie come to life in this fabulous puppet
show. Of course, it's Disney, so this is no standard puppet show.......it's
presented live on stage in a fully air conditioned theatre and the queuing area
is shaded too, so you've got no excuse! An absolute
'must-see'. |

RESTAURANTS AND
REFRESHMENTS
- Cinderella's Royal Table - I
know not why, but I cannot help myself from having fits of giggles at this
excellent table service restaurant. Probably one of the best menus in the park,
you really should treat yourself to a meal here. The giggles? Well, I really
need to get with the program here. You see, it's Cinderella's Royal Table after
all, so your server will refer to you as Sire, Lady, Duke, Your Majesty etc.,
and your kids will be Princes and Princesses. Being Disney, it's all done with
a straight face and straight faces in funny situations are something I can't
seem to cope with. It's fantastic, be sure to visit. (The giggling idiot in the
corner with indigestion will be me.)
- The Pinocchio Village Haus -
Cheeseburgers, hot dogs, specialty wrap sandwiches and salads.
- Lumière's Kitchen -
Hot dogs, fries and soft drinks. Only open during busy periods.
- Scuttle's Landing - Shaved
ice and beverages.
- Enchanted Grove - Lemonade,
slushes, ice cream and juices.
- Mrs. Potts' Cupboard - Ice
cream, floats, sundaes and shakes (the vanilla shake is to die
for).
- Hook's Tavern - An
ever-changing selection of snacks and beverages.
