Frontierland

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - As excellent as ever, this Thunder Mountain has quite a bit more to offer in terms of 'little extras' than the other three around the world. Situated conveniently right next to Splash Mountain, it's so easy to hop between the two when it's not busy.

Country Bear Jamboree - The animatronic bears do it again in a musical show for anyone and everyone. Hang around outside and you'll often be teased by the real character bears, who will happily sign autographs - after they've embarrassed you sufficiently!

Frontierland Shootin' Arcade - Part with two quarters and shoot at some humorous targets. It's a shame they charge you for this.....kinda spoils things for me.....

Splash Mountain - Well, it's the same drop, the same fun, and the same wet clothes as the other parks. It's worth travelling to the Magic Kingdom for Splash Mountain alone. As the official publicity stuff accurately states '....H2O plus 45° Angle plus Gravity plus 40 m.p.h. plus a 5-story plunge plus some unsuspecting, helpless, " too late to get out now" passengers, equals...... Splash Mountain!'

Tom Sawyer Island - Escape from the crowds and take the kids and a raft over to Tom Sawyer Island for some proper Southern fun away from the crowds. It's a great place for them to play and explore. Closes at around 7pm though.

The Keelboats are a cool, and peaceful distraction if you've 25 minutes to spare!
Shops
SHOPS
  • Frontier Trading Post- Western-themed clothing, leather goods and jewellery. There's some great Native American Indian merchandise here.
  • Big Al's - More Disney plush toys and souvenirs.
  • The Briar Patch - Splash Mountain and Winnie The Pooh souvenirs. There's quite a lot of stock here that you can't get elsewhere in the park.
  • Trail Creek Craft Shop - Hats and leather goods.
  • Frontier Wood Carving - Handmade carvings from all kinds of wood (they'll even carve to your specifications!).
  • Prairie Outpost and Supply - Disney candy and Mickey kitchenware and merchandise.

Restaurants
RESTAURANTS AND REFRESHMENTS
  • Pecos Bill Café - Burgers, beans and some great chilli-cheese fries from this newly refurbished counter-service restaurant.
  • Aunt Polly's Dockside Inn - Chicken and ham & cheese sandwich 'picnic' lunches , freshly baked apple pie and soft-serve ice cream.
  • Frontierland Kiosk - French Fries and beverages. The first (and hopefully the last) of the new McDonald's Kiosks. Yup, McDonald's inside Disney World. You're on thin ice here Disney.
